What to do when the Finance Police or the Anti-Adulteration and health unit come to your store?

October 23 2019

The rich programme of VapitalyPRO 2019 will come to an end with a workshop on a legal theme. Managing a store in the vaping sector requires a whole series of measures and regulations to comply with towards the State, the Monopolies, the Ministry of Health and customers. With this in mind, the organisers of VapitalyPRO, set to take place in the New Fiera di Roma Exhibition Centre (EAST entrance - Via A. G. Eiffel), on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 November, will be organising a free workshop packed with ideas and indications designed to help participants manage their sales activity in complete safety and with as much peace of mind as possible.

Shedding light on these issues, on Sunday 10 November from 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m., will be the workshop held in collaboration with the law firm Utopia Legal, entitled “What to do when the Finance Police or the Anti-Adulteration and Health Unit come to your store?”, i.e. how to be ready to deal with the legal and practical aspects of an inspection.

The lawyer Alberto Gava will be explaining the checks that are the responsibility of the Customs Administration and the Monopolies and the sanctions that may be applied if any irregularities are found.

From the checks on authorisation from the Autonomous Administration of State Monopolies and compliance with their requisites, to checks on products and their compliance with standards, as well as observance of the measures set forth in art. 21 of Legislative Decree no. 6/2016 in general, illustrating the pertinent tasks and responsibilities of store owners.

He will be followed by Nicola Capozzoli, who will be explaining the criminal checks that may be carried out on retailers, focusing in particular on cases of product sales on which consumer tax has not been paid, the smuggling of flammable liquid products, failure to issue invoices or issue of false invoices and the sale of products that are potentially damaging to health, providing an exhaustive framework of anything retailers may be held liable for.
