International Vaping Exhibition
It’s time to say goodbye to the fifth edition of VapitalyPRO, the event that each year welcomes professionals from the world of vaping to the New Fiera di Roma Exhibition Centre. This year’s experience has provided lots of ideas for the evolution of a format able to grasp change and the needs of the sector.
The event brought both Italian and international operators to Rome. This edition welcomed 48 exhibitors, with 31% of them coming from abroad, representing eight countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the USA). The two-day event in Rome attracted 1545 visitors interested in developing business and networking.
A new feature this year was the meeting area for market operators, no longer in the form of a stage, but rather an actual ring in the centre of the exhibition hall, offering a forum for discussion on the hot topics in the sector and a chance to express views on the condition of the vaping world, considering new market demands, bureaucratic and regulatory aspects, experiences and expectations for the future of the sector. The exchanges were presented and the guests interviewed by Sigmagazine editor Stefano Caliciuri.
“The vaping market is finally taking on its own distinctive, defined shape in Italy”, explained Vapitaly president Mosè Giacomello. We’re talking about a sector that here in Italy has a turnover of around €800 million, with almost 2600 stores in business across the country. VapitalyPRO is a meeting place for operators, and the snapshot it provides shows a mature sector able to handle the dynamics of a continually evolving market. The next event will be in May 2025, with the ninth edition of Vapitaly, which will be ‘moving home’. After eight editions, the leading e-cig fair in Italy will be moving to BolognaFiere.
